Alanya is a tourist town and therefore offers a wide range of shopping opportunities. These are not only concentrated in the center of Alanya (around the castle hill), but extend from the beginning of the town to the end of the approximately 10 km long coastal road near the Kargicak district. Of course, so-called “fake brands” can be found everywhere. Only in a few shops will you find genuine international designer goods.

Naturally, you can also find genuine Turkish handicrafts or goods made in Turkey. These usually come from Bursa or Istanbul. However, the majority of the goods on offer come from China.

It is always advisable to carefully inspect the goods for quality. You should also be prepared to negotiate a price of up to 100% (depending on the season).

A price comparison is always worthwhile!

The picture shows Alanya, which is bisected by the main road D400. However, there are plans to reroute this main road away from Alanya’s center and the coast. Construction of a tunnel is underway.

Typical shopping centers are the city center of Alanya and the Mahmutlar district in which one of the most nice shopping center (Yekta Mall) is located.

In Alanya’s city center, there are three main streets for targeted shopping (marked in gold).

Street 1 : Here you’ll find typical tourist shops (counter-brand goods and souvenirs).

Street 2 : Here you’ll find select shops selling telecommunications, handicrafts, flowers, local textiles, and good, affordable local cuisine.

Street 3 : Here you’ll find bigger shopping malls like Alanyum, car and bicycle shops, furniture stores, homeworker stores (Koctas), china consumer stores like `82 Pazari` and european  electronics stores like  Media Mark Gastro Markets like Metro.
