Alanya is not only famous for the wonderful beach water, fresh air and sunshine
The time, you go up to Tepe, you will have an wonderful view to over Alanya. You are up around 1000 meter and you already feel the difference about the clima. Behind Tepe´s mountain, you will find a silent place for living – surrounded by nature.
DimCay is the river from Alanya which bring fresh water from the mountains down. It crosses Alanya´s water reserve lake. The area around the lake is a wonderfull place. You feel like you reached italy a little bit with the few houses around the lake. Many people go to this location and look to Dimcay river. The water temperature of Dimcay is very cold (around 8 to 10 °). This water moves finaly to the sea side in the area where Kestel ends and Tosmur is starting.
I urgently suggest, NOT to use the so called “safari jeeps” to go to Dimjay and the lake. Every year many many tourist die because of the missing security within this cars and other reasons.
The Old Coast Street to Gazipasa is a wonderful street. Not many traffic there and you will find very nice places for taking a rest. The water is crystal clear any the area is not crowed with people. Its a wonderful street to find your personal beach relax place.
The area around Alanya is very popular and needed for Turkey to grow up fresh fruits – all the year long.
Position 1 shows the area for growing up strawberries.
Position 2 shows the area for growing up banana, avocado, olive, mango and many other. This area is going down until Anamur.
